Yard evaluation complete…

Well, I evaluated the three areas of my backyard that receive sunlight. The east side get about three hours to four hours, the west side– about two to three hours, the south side –about two to three hours.  I read here  that tomatoes need at least six to eight hours of full sunlight to make fruit.  There is not enough light in my backyard for the tomatoes to grow fruit.  The herbs seem to be doing well, so I will grow those again.  My yard has a lot of shade, but is still bright, so I didn’t consider that the plants would not get enough light. Lesson learned!
